Korea Development Bank (KDB) announced on the 22nd that it has selected 15 startups for the 3rd cohort of the ‘KDB NextONE Busan’ program and will run a five-month incubation program.
A total of 145 companies applied for the 3rd cohort of ‘KDB NextONE Busan’, and 15 were ultimately selected. Many of them are innovative regional companies operating in strategic industries such as energy tech, marine, and bio-health in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (BUG) area, as well as a considerable number of early-stage companies founded within the last three years.
The selected companies will receive tailored mentoring, IR consulting, expert lecture sessions, overseas expansion programs, business linkages, demo days, and other support for practical growth.
In addition to ‘KDB NextONE Busan,’ KDB has also provided customized solutions to revitalize the regional venture ecosystem by organically linking programs such as ‘KDB V:Launch,’ the ‘Regional Innovation Venture Fund,’ and direct investment and lending.
At the welcome speech, Kim Bok-gyu, Senior Executive Vice President of KDB, stated: “KDB will firmly support promising regional ventures and startups by leveraging our comprehensive regional venture support system so that they can achieve sustainable growth and invigorate the southern region’s startup ecosystem.”
