
T-Cure Wins Grand Prize — Governor of Gyeongnam Award
[Changwon = Newsis] Reporter Hong Jung-myung = The Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center announced on the 8th that it held the “GO-SPACE IR (Investment Proposal) Competition” for companies participating in the 2024 Startup Leap Package support program.
The Startup Leap Package, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and sponsored by Gyeongsangnam-do, helps companies in their growth stage (3–7 years since founding) overcome difficulties such as low sales and lack of capital, and supports their leap forward.
“GO-SPACE IR” stands for Growth Opportunity – Startup Pitching And Capital Engagement, providing startups the chance to pitch and connect with investors. Eleven companies from the 2024 program had been preparing for the competition since October, receiving training in investment practices, corporate diagnosis, mentoring, and IR presentation enhancement.
Judges included investment officers from KM Partners, Korea Science & Technology Holdings, N15 Partners, Baro Ventures, and MYSC. As a result, the **Minister of SMEs and Startups Award (Grand Prize)** went to SLM Co. (CEO Park Young-joon).
The **Governor of Gyeongnam Award (Excellence Prize)** was awarded to **T-Cure Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Hyun-wook)**. Other winners included **Nebsys Co., Ltd. (SMBA Director’s Award)** and **Kinaba Co., Ltd. / Infosys Co., Ltd. (Gyeongnam CCEI Director’s Award)**.
Gyeongsangnam-do continues to support the Startup Leap Package to revitalize the regional startup ecosystem and foster company growth. Through this IR competition, local startups gained opportunities to interact with investors and expand investment opportunities. In particular, the Governor’s Award recognized outstanding growth-stage startups, encouraging their next leap forward.
Jang Seong-man, Acting Director of Gyeongnam CCEI, said, “This competition confirmed the enhanced capabilities of participating startups, making it very difficult to rank them. The Center will continue to provide practical and systematic support to help startups achieve their goals.”
